Cardinals to the Left, Cardinals to the Right
06/04/2020
Well written and has layouts for fabric piece placements. Not just a description but an actual drawn layout of each fabric piece placement and step-by-step of putting the blocks together. One for left cardinal and one for right cardinal.
Intermediate piecing level. Use Starch since there are so may pieces that are small and cut on the bias.
Use your snap-lock baggies, painters tape labels and sharpie. Make sure you organize and cut all fabric first, then make 2 blocks. One for the Cardinal facing Left and then another one with the Cardinal facing Right.
Keep them viewable and as samples for each new block you make. And, if you have one to many that should face Right instead of Left. Design choice!
You can use Fat Quarters, too. Then left over fabric can be used to make a scrappy binding. Count your Fat Quarters to make sure you have enough.
Have fun with this one.
Excellent Cardinal Pattern

I had a wonderful experience purchasing CARDINALS from Sew Thankful. The pattern is clear and concise. The only thing to watch for is the sashing cutting instructions. The sashing isn’t listed with the other cutting instructions. It’s easy to miss, so make sure you read the whole pattern before use.
