This was a delightful change to many quilt patterns. The actual cutting Layouts for each fabric are in the pattern book. Very helpful for all levels. Beginners, this is a great start to your successful future projects. Especially for detailed pieces that are not hard but look that way when done. So there is no fabric waste. Or any big OOPs, now I have to buy more fabric. Even for the background fabric.
I always recommend reading the entire Pattern at least once before you start any fabric prep and especially before cutting. I do recommend starch and cutting each color and clearly labeling each cut and where it goes. Snap-lock baggies are a quilters friend--and a sharpie.
I have not made this quilt yet, however, I am in the process of collecting the pieces I need. I like it with and without the Border but it seems to finish it off better with the border. It's gonna take a large wall for this one to hang perfectly...so, why not jump in and make this beauty?
