Digital - Penquin Baby PDF sewing pattern from Counted Quilts

This Penguin Baby Quilt Pattern is the perfect quilt for a winter baby.

The light colors are great for baby, but if you want to make it for an older penguin fan, then I suggest using bolder colors and the larger size for a lap quilt or smaller size for a wall hanging.

The 3 sizes include: Main instruction for Crib 36"x42", with additional small 24x28 and large 48"x56". Those are the measurements for the image but adding borders will change the finished size. In fact if you border the large size you could even put this on a twin bed.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses charts to show the number of strips to cut and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The entire top is then sewn using straight 1/4" seams. The shaping and snowflakes are done with quick corner triangles (or snowball method). Once these squares are marked you will follow a full page image of the Penguin alphabetically labeled for easy row by row assembly.

This pattern has a lot of half square triangles making it, not necessarily more difficult, but it does take more time.
