Sweetpea Pods sewing pattern from Lazy Girl Designs.
Sweetpea Pods hold your treasures like peas in a pod, and sit open for easy access.
Use Lazy Girl’s One-Zip technique: cut your zipper to pieces, sew one side in straight and flat, bend to create a loop, then use Joan’s easy trick to put the zipper pull back on to make this precious pod.
For fun, swap zipper pulls and tape from the same manufacturer. The One-Zip works with polyester, all-purpose zippers by Atkinson Designs, ByAnnie Yardage Zippers and YKK, provided your zipper is long enough for the size pod you are sewing. It does not work with invisible, metal, sport weight zippers. ALWAYS test your zipper for compatibility with this method before applying it to your masterpiece.
Two zips and two 10 inch squares make two pods. Finished Size is approximately: 3 inches x 6 inches
Try Tracy's quick tricks to make your pods the SweetpEASY way:
1. Use vinyl mesh. Cut vinyl mesh the same as you would your fabric per pattern instructions. Add an accent strip if desired. Then SKIP all the lining and interfacing steps.
2. Use Fusi-Bond to fuse fabric to both sides of Stiff Stuff. Then SKIP all the lining and interfacing steps.
3. Use Fusi-Bond to fuse fabric to both sides of Soft and Stable. Then SKIP all the lining and interfacing steps.

Love it!02/06/2019 ByRene' Fun to make. Well written instructions—-the pictures helped immensely. Skill level? Not for beginners, perhaps. Some instructions may not be clear to a beginner. I have been sewing for 40 years and I learned something new that I had never done before. I loved picking out bright and odd patterned fabric designs. The zipper is so cute with the different colored pull tab. Thanks for this cute bag. I enjoyed it!

Sweet Pea Pods01/02/2017 ByJennifer Pengilly Hi, Thanks for this pattern. This pattern is really well presented in a glossy colour leaflet with step-by-step instructions and colour photos for each step. Very easy to follow and it all comes together perfectly. Great pattern for beginners (and experienced sewers too!) Thanks again. Jennifer.

So Easy!12/06/2018 ByNancy J Goff I love these patterns! They are so easy and only take less than an hour to make. And a bonus: once you know how to make the SweetPea pods, you will know how to make them from what is left over from making the Bendy Bag!
