Let's shake things up and celebrate the winter season by stitching this epic quilt of prehistoric magnitude. The Chilly Mammoth quilt pattern contains the instructions to make a 43in x 57in quilt featuring one mammoth as well as a 77in x 86in quilt featuring four fabulous mammoths.

Choose whether your mammoth is sporting some winter gear (hat and scarf) or is simply chilling without.

The large blocks (31in x 41in and 31in x 34in) are big enough that you can create a successful quilt by making only one. Then frame your quilt beautifully with half-square-triangle details, as shown on the pattern cover.

This quilt uses traditional piecing techniques and relies heavily on the Stitch & Flip technique.

There are several points to match, however, the pieces are large giving you wiggle room to perfect your points. This project is great for the brave beginner and seasoned piecers alike!
