KWIK Sew 2971 Blanket, Bibs & Doll

BLANKET

The baby blanket is made from blocks in four different fabrics. The back is in one piece and folds over the edges to form the binding.

Suggested Fabrics:

For Blocks: Cotton, flannel, Polarfleece®, interlock.

For Back: Satin, charmeuse, cotton, flannel.

Material Required:

Fabric 45" (115 cm) Wide: Back - 1 1/4 yd (1.15 m)

Blocks - four fabrics - 3/8 yd (0.35 m) each.

Notions: Thread.

BIBS

The bibs have an optional lining, Velcro® closure and the outside edges are finished with bias tape. Seven different appliqués are included.

Suggested Fabrics:

Woven and firm knit fabrics such as cotton, cotton types, terry, interlock, jersey.

Material Required:

Fabric and Lining (optional) 45" (115 cm) Wide:

View A - 1/2 yd (0.50 m)

View B - 3/8 yd (0.35 m)

Notions:

Thread, 1 1/2 yd (1.40 m) of double fold bias tape, 1" (2.5 cm) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide Velcro®. Appliqué: Scrap pieces of fabrics, paper backed fusible web and tear-away material.

DOLL

The doll is stuffed with polyester filling. The face is stitched and the hair is made from yarn.

Suggested Fabric:

Soft woven and firm knit fabrics such as interlock, stretch terry, cotton and fleece. For the face and hands, use a woven fabric such as broadcloth.

Material Required:

Fabric & Contrast Fabric 45" (115 cm) Wide - 1/4 yd (0.25 m) each

Face & Hands - 1/8 yd (0.15 m)

Lining - 1/4 yd (0.25 m)

Notions:

Thread, polyester filling, scrap piece of fusible interfacing, tear-away material, 10"(25 cm) of pre-gathered eyelet or lace, yarn for hair, 1/2 yd (0.50 m) of 1/2" (12 mm) wide ribbon, narrow ribbon for bows.
