Meet the very talented Jamie
Kalvestran of Scrap-bags Patterns:

- Jamie is an accomplished product designer
and published illustrator. She holds three design patents and works diligently at bringing her inspirational designs into textile,
quilting, home fashions and personal accessories. Jamie is a graduate
of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, with a bachelor of fine arts
degree in product design. Authentic designs and integrity of materials
are essential traits of her creations.
- Jamie's professional design career
spans over 20 years and includes designing award winning toys at Tonka and
Manhattan Toy. She did a stint as a costume designer at the The
Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also managed her
own wholesale business designing and selling her original equestrian designs
under the name 16.2 to Saddle shops across the US.
- Jamie is a member of the international
Color Marketing Group and keeps a keen eye on color trends. She
also stays abreast of consumer trends, skillfully incorporating imagery and
color into her designs while retaining a distinct and independent style.
