Car Seat Cover

The car seat cover has a face opening with a ribbing band and a zipper on the front. A flap covers the opening or it can be folded and held in place with Velcro. The outside edges have elastic in casing to keep it in place on the car seat.

Suggested Fabrics:

Heavyweight stretch knits and woven fabrics such as Polarfleece®, Berber fleece, or blanket fleece.

Material Required:

Fabric 45" (115 cm) or 60" (152 cm) wide- 1 1/8 yd (1.05 m).

Ribbing 28" (70 cm) wide - 3" (8 cm).

Notions: Thread, one 16" (40 cm) zipper, 4" (10 cm) of 5/8" (1.5 cm) wide Velcro, 1 yd (0.95 m) of 3/8" (1 cm) wide elastic.

Bag

Lined bag has a flap, a wide shoulder strap, inside pockets, a bottom stabilizer from cardboard or Mylar plastic and an optional decorative flap overlay from two or four different fabrics.

Suggested Fabrics:

Woven fabrics such as denim, corduroy, decorative fabrics, duck cloth, cotton, cotton types. Lining also in supplex, windbreaker fabric, nylon & nylon types.

Fabric 60" (152 cm) wide - 1 yd (0.95 m)

Lining 45" (115 cm) wide - 1 yd (0.95 m)

Lining 60" (152 cm) wide - 7/8 yd (0.80 m)

Fusible Interfacing 24" (60 cm) wide - 1 1/8 yd (1.05 m)

Notions:

Thread, 5" x 11" (13 cm x 28 cm) of cardboard or Mylar plastic. Optional decorative flap overlay: 9" x 9" (23 cm x 23 cm) fabric for each block - use two or four different fabrics.
