Fold-over Elastic from Birch Street is fantastic way to finish off a raw edge! Use it in place of bias tape to finish edges of lingerie, sportswear, baby clothes and more. 

How to apply Fold-over Elastic:

  • Fold elastic in half and zig-zag to raw edge using a 3-step zig-zag.
  • Pull on elastic when you need it to gather fabric.
Suggested usage:
  • Lingerie
  • Sports wear
  • Baby clothes and bibs
  • Hats
  • Apply any place you use bias tape.
 

Dyeing instructions: 

In a small saucepan place enough water to comfortably cover elastic. Add 1-2 Tbs. of liquid Rit dye. Warm dye and add elastic, stirring to ensure even coloration. DO NOT BOIL. When elastic is desired color rinse well in cold water. Hang to Dry.
