Some metal bobbin cases contain a (usually blue colored metal) backlash spring in the bottom of the case. This backlash spring must be removed before inserting a Magna-Glide bobbin.

How Do I use Magna-Glide bobbins?

Step 1: Remove the backlash spring from your bobbin case

Step 2: Insert your Magna-Glide Bobbin with the magnetic core tip entering first.

Will Magna-Glide’s magnetic bobbin core interfere with my sewing machine software? No. The magnetic core is designed to deliver consistent tension. It is not strong enough however to interfere with your machines internal workings.
