The Stanley Hotel (aka...the
hotel where Stephen King wrote part of "The Shining")
No...we did NOT stay there. Not
because we were scared, but because it is rather "pricey". |
My beautiful daughter...Natalie...she
looks so much more relaxed than just a month ago. |
My handsome son, Nick -- he keeps us
laughing. |

Cool waters run through
town... |
Look, it's a Moose on the LOOSE!
NO...wait...it's really an ELK! |
Roadside Moose--I mean
ELK--grazing. Why is it that "MOOSE" is so much more fun
to say than "ELK"? |

Having some fun... |
Breathtaking... |
A mountain storm is brewing. |
Forest Canyon Glacial Landscape. |
Tundra Patterns. |
Vibrant color and texture. |
Cliff rock perspective. |
I'm sunk--knee deep. The snow
gave way to many of us as we walked out to the viewing area (see photo where Nick is on top of the world). |
OK...so it's definitely not my *best*
look. I've got hat head from wearing my cap all day. AND...my jacket and
t-shirt are loose & bulking forward because I just recovered from
the *drop* sinking of my right leg into the snow! Still, it was
fun!!! |
Nick is on top of the world! |
Mr. Marmot, the varmit entertained
us. Actually, we saw lots of them which is fairly rare since they
burrow the majority of their lives. Click
here for Marmot info you will probably never need to know. |
The ice melts and interesting colors
and textures emerge. |
More interesting texture and color
taken in close proximity to the photo at left. |
Mr. Marmot slinks away in disgust! |
