This pattern was designed to be "oversized to fit your real life". 

Modern style that holds it all together! Pattern includes two sizes to make, with special pockets right where you need them.

Materials List:

  • 1 1/2 yards of 44” wide heavyweight home decorator cotton or quilting weight cotton for the Exterior
    *Allow extra yardage for matching or centering a pattern on your fabric
  • 2 1/2 yards of 44” wide coordinating heavyweight home decorator cotton or quilting weight cotton for the Lining
  • 2 yards of 22” wide heavyweight sew-in interfacing if using the heavy weight decorator fabric for the Exterior
    OR-1 1/8 yards of 60” wide 10oz. cotton canvas     (link opens a new window) if using the quilting weight cotton for the Exterior
  • 1 3/4 yards of 22” wide Timtex™ or a similar extra heavy sew-in stabilizer
  • 4 -7/16” extra large Eyelets or Grommets (with tool)
  • 1 spool of coordinating thread

Finished Dimensions for the two Betty Shopper (It’s Big!) bags:

  • Large Betty Shopper:
     15 1/2” wide across the top of the bag and 28” wide across the bottom x 14 1/2” tall x 3 1/2” deep
  • Small Betty Shopper:
     12 1/2” wide across the top of the bag and 25” wide across the bottom by x 14 1/2” tall x 3 1/2” deep
