Providing you fast and friendly service
is very important to us. We want you to receive your order as quickly as
possible and we do our very best to keep an adequate on-going supply of
inventory to ensure you receive your order FAST.
However, many factors affect inventory levels
which may unexpectedly cause a backorder situation. For example, sometimes
we experience an unexpected "run" on a particular item way beyond the
normal sales level. Sometimes we offer a new item that is sought after at
a higher than anticipated level. Or, sometimes a manufacturer is sold out
of an item and we must wait for a backorder from them.
Here is how SewThankful handles backorders in
the event you have a backorder.
- In most cases if you have a backordered item and we are unable to "split ship" your order,
we will notify you by
email on the next business day after you place your order if your
order contains a sold out item so you may tell us your preference on how to
proceed.
- If you do
not reply to our email notification and inquiry regarding your preference,
we will default to "holding" the order and shipping complete when
the re-supply comes back in stock.
- Please make certain your email
address is correct when you place your order.
- Backorders are only permitted on items we
intend to re-stock on a regular basis.
- HOT DEAL items and clearance or
closeout, temporary overstock and/or discontinued items do NOT qualify for backorder status and will automatically be
deducted from your order.
- In most cases,
if your qualified item is on backorder we expect that it will be back in
stock within 1 - 10 days. Your order will ship immediately upon
our receipt of the backordered item.
- If a backorder is expected to take longer
than 10 business days until we have it back in stock, we will email you
for further instructions as to whether you wish to wait or if you wish to
cancel the item from your order.
- Please make sure your email address is
correct when you place your order. On the day your order ships you
will receive an email notification that your order has shipped.
This is how you will know when to approximately expect your order.
- If you are paying by Visa, MasterCard or
Discover directly, we do NOT charge your credit card until the day your
order ships.
- That means we do not charge you for the
backordered item until the day it ships; we only charge for the items
actually shipping and the applicable shipping charge. We do not
charge for separate/split shipping if we have offered to split ship an
order.
- NOTE: If you pay by PayPal, your
payment is
immediately processed through PayPal. That is how PayPal works and we
have no control over how they run their business. Therefore, if
you elect to go ahead and wait for a backorder, the initial order charge
will remain intact.
